Another recipe for my "mini" cook book I\'m compiling. I didn\'t care for any of the Friday blog recipes, so I\'ve done this one for my "Pennie."

JOURNALING: 1 container (4 oz) baby food
      (any flavor)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 t salt
flour to make a workable dough
Combine baby food, egg, and salt. Add enough flour to make a workable dough. Roll out and cut out shapes (I used the mini dog bone cutter). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
When I make these for my Pennie, I usually use sweet potato baby food. But, I have made them with pear. She seems to like both (she is VERY particular about her treats.) I’ve added bacon bits to the sweet potato mixture and shredded cheddar cheese to the pear for extra “oomph!” Experiment. I store them in the freezer and pull a few out and put them in the refrigerator for the day. While any shape cutter would do, “google” dog bone cookie cutter at Amazon for a large selection.
