JOURNALING:  I was cleaning out my desk and found several old postcards from the “40 Winks Motel”, so I immediately thought of you.  I still remember that first day of work when you took me under your wing and showed me the ropes. You were only 2 years older than me, but were the “old pro” because you had been there over six months. It’s amazing to think that we’ve stayed friends over these last fifty years; thanks for always being there for me, especially when Tom died. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I’ve been thinking about you and how much your friendship has meant to me over the years.  “Rest in the best for less”!  (Remember that old motel slogan?!) Your Friend.
