  • SOCIAL MEDIA BONUS POINTS -AND- OUR MONTHLY $10 DRAWING

WOULD YOU LIKE A CHANCE TO WIN A $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THE DIGITAL PRESS EACH MONTH?

Anyone who shares 4 of their challenge creations (layouts, hybrid projects, etc... anything created for one of TDP's current monthly challenges) to 2 different social media platforms throughout the month... will be entered into a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate to The Digital Press!

    .

    WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS QUALIFY?
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • Twitter
    • Pinterest
HOW DO I EARN MY MONTHLY BONUS POINTS?

    It's easy!

As you complete projects for our monthly challenges, you simply choose 4 or more of those project images and share them on social media. Each project must be shared to at least 2 social media platforms in order to qualify for our monthly social media bonus point system. You will track your posts in the applicable monthly tracking thread, and if you fill all 8 slots (4 projects x 2 shares for each), you'll be entered at the end of that month in our drawing. One lucky winner each month will get a $10 gift certificate that can be spent at The Digital Press.

If you look in the monthly tracking thread, you'll see that we've created a handy-dandy "social media sharing" list for tracking purposes. It looks like this...

SOCIAL MEDIA BONUS POINTS (OPTIONAL) --
    ---Project image #1 shared to:
    ---Project image #1 shared to:
    ---Project image #2 shared to:
    ---Project image #2 shared to:
    ---Project image #3 shared to:
    ---Project image #3 shared to:
    ---Project image #4 shared to:
    ---Project image #4 shared to:

...and each time you share a project image, you'll simply 'copy' the URL of your social media post (see below for instructions), and then 'paste' it into to your tracking list (shown above) in order to link us up to your social media share. If you fill your list with 4 projects x 2 shares/each... at the end of the month, you're entered to win! IT'S THAT EASY!

    .

HOW TO OBTAIN THE URL's (LINKS) TO YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

    FACEBOOK

#1 --- First, post your image to Facebook (and tag @The Digital Press on your post)... and then once it's posted, click on the date/time that appears at the top of your post. See example image, here...

#2 --- Next, after you click on that date/time link... your image will open separately in Facebook, and you will "COPY" the URL (web address) that appears in your browser's address bar at the top of the page. Once it's copied, you will simply "PASTE" that URL here in the TDP forum in your monthly tracking list for Social Media Bonus Points.

    .

    INSTAGRAM

#1 --- First, post your image to Instagram (and tag @thedigitalpressco on your post)... and then once it's posted, click on the 3-dots that appear at the top-right of your post (from a mobile device). See example image, here...

#2 --- Next, after you click the 3 dots... a pop-up menu will appear (again, on mobile devices). From there, click the "Share" link.

#3 --- Finally, on the page that opens up after you click "Share" ...click the "Copy Link" button at the bottom. This will actually "COPY" the URL (web address) of your image/post into your mobile device's memory. Next, you'll simply open The Digital Press's forum on your mobile device, and you'll navigate to the applicable monthly challenge tracking thread in the CROSSWORD SECTION sub-forum, and you'll "PASTE" that URL into your tracking post in your Social Media Bonus Points list.

**NOTE** if you want to copy/paste your image URL from a computer... simply open your Instagram account page in your web browser, click on the image, and then "COPY" the URL (web address) from the top of your browser page's address field (see the instructions for Facebook, above, for more info on this).

    .

    TWITTER

#1 --- First, tweet your image on Twitter (and tag @digitalpressco on your tweet/post)... and then once it's posted, click on the 3 dots that appear just below your tweet. See example image, here...

#2 --- Next, after you click the 3 dots... a pop-up/drop-down menu will appear. On this menu, choose "Copy link to Tweet" ...which will "COPY" the URL, so that you can come to the forum and "PASTE" that URL into your Social Media Bonus Points list in the applicable monthly challenge tracking thread.

    .

    PINTEREST

Finally, on Pinterest... you will upload (or "pin") your layout to one of your boards, using one of two methods...

    (1) The first method would be to open your layout in The Digital Press gallery, where you loaded it... and then you will pin the layout to one of your Pinterest boards from our gallery. This is likely the easiest method, and we love it because it leads people right back to TDP and to your gallery, where they can leave you comments and love!

    (2) The second method is a little more complicated and doesn't lead people to your gallery, so it's not as preferred -- but it's still fine! You will load your layout/project photo as an "image from your computer" through use of the "Add a Pin" button that usually resides at the top left of any of your Pinterest boards (in other words -- if you have a "Scrapbook Layouts" board that you pin your layouts to, you'll open that board and look at the top left of it and you'll see a "blank" area with an arrow and "add a pin"). You'll upload the image from your computer, but it won't automatically be linked to anything once it's on your Pinterest board. If you use this method... we'd love it if you'd edit your pin (use the little "pencil" shape/edit link) so that your pin leads to the main TDP shop URL of http://shop.thedigitalpress.co or the gallery URL of http://forums.thedigitalpress.co/gallery/ .

Once your image is pinned on Pinterest...

...all you have to do is click on your pinned image on your Pinterest board -- which will open it in a lightbox/pop-up -- and then you'll "COPY" the URL from the top of your browser in the URL/address field (see the instructions for Facebook, above, for more info on this). Once it's copied, you'll bring that link here to TDP's forum and you'll "PASTE" it into your Social Media Bonus Points list in the applicable monthly challenge tracking thread.

Does it have to be a challenge layout - or can it be any layout with TDP products we promote?

Good question! Thank you for asking!

While you can always share any project you've completed using products from TDP and link back to TDP on social media, etc... to be eligible for the monthly social media bonus point drawing that is a part of our challenge system, the layouts/projects have to be challenge-related.
