  • NSD GAME | Flower Shower

    Hello everyone,

Having NSD fun? I am, and I hope you are too.

A lot of forum games are happening, and I have a fun game for you -- FLOWER SHOWER!

Who doesn't like flowers, in the garden or vase? I thought it could be fun to create a shower of flowers here in the TDP forum.

    Rules of the game...
...just take a picture of your favorite flower(s) or a plant in your garden or balcony or wherever (and if you don't have that, you can use a google image per example). Then you will post your image of your fave flower(s) and a little story about the flower or tell us why it is your favorite.

    I will go first.

    The story:

My favorite flowers are orchids and fresias, especially when in a bouquet. I love them because they are simple and beautiful, and also it remind of my mom, they were her fave flowers as well. When she passed away, I had this bouquet made for her!

    The flowers:

Now it's your turn.... let's shower some flowers!

    Hugs from Irma

    ***NOTE***

    (A) If you are using an image that you find on the internet, all you have to do to display it here in the forum is (a) right-click on the image wherever you found it on the internet... (b) choose the "copy image URL" option (or whatever wording your browser uses) ...and then when you create your own forum post down below, you will use the "insert image" button in the forum post menu* and you'll paste your image URL into the popup window that appears.

    (B) If you are using an image from your own computer/etc... you'll first need to "host" that image somewhere on the internet, and then follow the instructions above, in (A). To host an image somewhere, you need an account w/ a photo sharing service (like Flickr, or similar).

My favourite flower is Cosmos.... absolutely love them. I got to see fields of cosmos just last month on a roadtrip I took and I will flood the gallery with lots of layouts using these same photos I am sure. For now, here's a layout I made last month

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a field of them, but they really are pretty!

I remember driving past fields of these when I was younger! Such a happy sight.

I love all kinds of flowers, but I plant geraniums every year because they remind me of my late grandmother. Here are some I planted in baskets last year and hung in my herb garden

How can you not smile when you look at gerbera daisies? They are just such a happy flower.

My favorite flowers are the lilacs. Not only are they my favorite color, but they also smell absolutely heavenly. My home state grows them naturally and the smell can absolutely fill the air in the spring. Sadly they arent in the new state I live in. I miss them

Hibiscus are my very favorite!! I have them every summer because they make me feel like I'm in a tropical oasis I don't have any yet this year, it's still a little early.

Daffodils are my favorite right now because they are the first to show up. They bring the promise of spring to me. The bright yellow makes me happy among the colder, grey days. And they will stand up against most of old man's winter days that come after the first spring day. When they pass, they leave room for the next flowers to come. And they come up again the next year.

I love all of the wildflowers I find on my hikes. This one is pretty neat: penstemon nitidus (Smooth Blue Beardtongue).

I love butterfly orchids; especially the white ones with the purple center.
My daughter gave me this orchid plant 2 years ago ... & it bloomed again (I'm generally not good with plants )
This photo was taken a month ago ...
