  • CHALLENGE | Lessons from Mom

Happy NSD weekend and Happy Mother's Day!

To Celebrate Mother's Day, I have fun challenge for you.

There are big ones and small ones, but when it comes to the advice our moms give us, it makes all the difference. The lesson our mother’s shared with us helped shape the people we are today. In a tribute to our Moms, let’s scrap a page of some of the important life lessons we have learned.

    Here is my page...

And check out this good news -- anyone who participates in this challenge and leaves a layout in this thread before 11:59pm on Wed 5/11 will be eligible to win one of the amazing prizes you'll find in THIS THREAD.

    The rules of the challenge:
    1. Your layout must use 100% TDP product.
    2. You must post your layout in the TDP gallery and then start a post in this thread and link up the image (and link it to the gallery post).
    3. Your layout must be posted in this thread no later than 11:59pm PT on Wed 5/11.

I can't wait to see the lessons you have learned from your mom! Happy scrapping!

My mom taught me the importance of making memories. And now she is making special memories with my daughters...

Great challenge I had a little fun with this one...this is one of my mom's favorite pieces of advice!

What I keep wanting to tell her is that if I am in an accident, my underwear is probably not going to stay clean lol

In our family we say "I love you" all day long, multiple times a day. I know other families aren't necessarily like this, but I don't really think a whole lot about it. However, the importance of saying "I love you" was really brought home to me one day this school year. After telling my class of 6th graders that I loved them, one of them asked if I meant it, so of course I told them that I did. Then the little girl said "Nobody's ever told me they love me before." It breaks my heart and makes me cry every time I think about it. What a sad way to have to live your life.

Just doing this layout and capturing things she says, writes, and texts to me brought tears to my eyes. I love my mom.
