One of the things I can easily appreciate about South African's (but it does hold true across the globe) is our ability to make jokes and laugh about really hard things going on. It doesn't take long for the jokes and memes to fill my facebook feed. My boys are overseas now and I miss them. Sending a daily joke and photos of the cats helps to maintain that sense of connection and well being. Having said that my daughter (20) had a disagreement with her brother (24) and removed herself from the family whatsapp group. Seriously?

My daughter not only loves this TV show, but she thinks that we should try it at home (and I feel like we sort of do every week on the day before grocery day). But in my kitchen you'd probably have to add a really squishy and brown banana, and swap out chicken feet (eew) for frozen meat from the back of the freezer (is it turkey? pork? who knows?!), and maybe last year's Easter candy to that basket.
