I'm probably going to buy myself a box of Russel Stovers and get each of my kids something chocolate as a treat, and we'll probably play some board games together. That's about the extent of our Valentine's celebration. I'm a single mom, so no romantic extravagance for me LOL. What about you?

We haven't made any plans, I doubt my husband even remembers it will be Valentines soon. I don't pressure him for gifts at the holidays. He is a give love in time and thoughtfulness type of guy anyways and makes everyday feel like valentines day. I am the one here who gives tangible gifts and all I've accomplished so far is a card LOL Enjoy your special time with your children, I always get ours chocolates and a card too!

Shockingly the gym cancelled evening classes that night so I don't have to teach yoga that nightThey rarely cancel classes. So since I have the night off, the hubs and I made a dinner reservation. I wouldn't have any desire to go out to dinner if we didn't have a reservation - too busy. Hubs will likely buy me some flowers and I love that splash of color in this white out season of winter.

I was informed the other day that for Valentine’s Day my husband has decided that he will buy ME the last few parts needed to finish building MY still. Yes. A still. For distilling my own .... essential oils. In bulk. Yeah. Definitely not making my very own craft spiced rum. It was a Christmas “gift”. You know, one of those gifts that someone else buys you because they really want it for themselves but for some reason have decided to buy it for you instead. Sigh.
We’ll almost certainly eat in given that we’re trying to cut all dyes and artificial colors and flavors out of my son’s diet, which is fine by me. I may go troll Pinterest for fancy (Uber healthy) dinner ideas.

Ah, at this point, Jennifer ( gwany1999 ), I have not made my own oils since my still is not yet complete (it's come a long way though considering it arrived as individual pieces of metal and "some fabrication required". One of the pieces that I'll be getting, apparently, for Valentine's Day is a valve that will permit affixing the appropriate vessel for capturing essential oils. I don't know much about essential oils, except for which ones I like to use when I make soap. My local library offers access to an online class called Essential Oils 101. I'm thinking that I should check it out.... otherwise I'm learning as I go.

Ya know, when you're 19 years old getting married on Valentine's Day seems so romantic... we didn't consider, however, that EVERYONE else is celebrating love on that day too...It's darn near impossible to get reservations anywhere and we just don't have the gumption to wait an hour or longer for a table... So, we will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary comfortably at home. (Geez, we're getting old...haha). I'm gonna make some Lasagna and a pineapple upside down cake (hubby's favorite) for dinner. And I am sure Hubby will get me flowers and chocolate dipped strawberries (my favorite).

No real plans here. I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. DH knows if he wants to impress me, bring me a rose from the gas station on some random day of the year. I do get the kinds and grandkids some candy, but except for the one I have left at home, the rest I won't see until the weekend. That means, I can go out the day after and get everything half off!!

I am so cheap, I wait for the valentine's day goodies to go on sale 50% and then buy what DD and I fancied since it was unpacked in store.
I mentioned to Hubby that I was available if he wanted to do something and he said ok, but knowing him, no additional thought or bookings have been made.
I love to add something special to the table for brekkie or dinner, but with 2/3 of the children living away now - I might wait until the weekend for my efforts.----------STEFANIE----------

Unfortunately, I will be out of town for work travel in Baton Rouge, LA for a couple of audits. My husband is from Italy and immigrated to the States about 4 1/2 years ago. He is an Executive Chef at his restaurant here in Florida. So, he is always SLAMMED with reservations on Valentine's Day. They already have over 120...reservations for the holiday. So, we never can enjoy "the day of". He's off work today and I'll travel out tomorrow afternoon. So, we actually exchanged gifts today. He surprised me with a dozen of the most gorgeous red roses and a box of Lindt truffles. Such a keeper and sweet sentimental soul (always).---------- WENDY ----------
