  • DSD CHALLENGE | Slow Scrap **SCHEDULED FOR SAT 10/1 AT 8:00pm**

MARK IT DOWN! The DSD weekend Slow Scrap & Chat event will take place in The Digital Press's CHAT ROOM on Saturday 10/1 at 8:00pm ET (5:00pm PT).

Creative team member Katie will be your hostess... but for those who can't attend the chat portion, we'll also post the Slow Scrap instructions here in this thread, as well -- so check back!

If you want to participate and earn credit, you will have until 9:00pm ET on Sunday 10/2 to do the following...
    (a) post your layout in the CHALLENGE GALLERY
    ---and also---
    (b) link it up in a comment, below, in this thread

We can't wait for you to join us in this challenge! Anyone who completes it will be entered to win one of the CHOOSE YOUR OWN PRIZE awards (so make sure you come check out that thread, and put your prize choices into rank order!).

STEP 1 - You will use a solid paper as your background.

STEP 2 - Place a 6 wide x 12 high piece of patterned paper in the center of your layout.

STEP 3 - Tucked just under the left of that patterned paper, put a 2/3 in wide x 12 inch high piece of a different patterned paper.

STEP 4 - On top of the 6x12 patterned paper, you are going to put 2 6in x 4 in photos. The first photo touches the top edge of the layout and is centered on the 6x12 paper

STEP 5 - The second 6x4 photo goes right under the first photo with no space between.

STEP 6 - Right under the second photo, put a 6 wide x2 high rectangle of solid paper. You should now have the 2 photos, the solid paper and the 6x12 patterned paper all stacked up on top of each other.

STEP 7 - A large word are or title goes to the right of the lower photo.

STEP 8 - A cluster of elements goes at the corner of where the two photos meet on the left, overlapping onto the background paper.

STEP 9 - A second cluster of elements goes at the bottom right of the 2nd image where it meets the 6x2 solid paper.

STEP 10 - Add journaling on the 6x2 solid rectangle.

STEP 11 - Add any additional elements, paint, a date, and whatever else makes your heart happy!

    Don't forget....

If you want to participate and earn credit, you will have until 9:00pm ET on Sunday 10/2 to do the following...
    (a) post your layout in the CHALLENGE GALLERY
    ---and also---
    (b) link it up in a comment, below, in this thread.

Make sure you use 100% TDP products in your layout!

    Happy scrapping!

Drat! Missed the deadline. Our "we'll only be gone for half the day" ended up being a "left the house at 8 am, and didn't get home until 7:30 pm" because of other people's timelines.

Thanks for posting the written version for me who has trouble working out timezones
I know it's not much of a cluster but for a simple scrapper like me it's as much as I could make myself do!
    Thanks for the challenge
